For our customer in Drogenbos, we've been asked to deliver them a talented IT Support engineer to work in the second line team.

What can you expect on a day to day basis ?

Your responsibilities in L2 tasks :

- Install desktop and laptop computers plus accessories
- Install printers and other peripherals
- Istall local software
- Support local users with installation of hardware accessories
- Investigate and resolve hardware issues
- Use remote desktop tools to help the end-users
- Escalate and monitor incidents to third party providers and vendors
- Deployment of smartphones according to company policy and instructions
- Create knowledge articles

Maintenance tasks :

- Daily back-up of the local servers
- Prepare change requests and perform changes
- Update firmware of computers, accessories and printers
- Maintain video conference equipment
- Maintain handheld scanners
- Support third level group with management of the PBX systems
- Maintain access rights on local servers
- Replace hardware
- Dispose of obsolete IT equipment in a responsible manner
- Create and update IT infra schemes

Admin tasks :

- Register and update tickets in the IT portal
- Manage the IT assets in CMDB
- Register and update mobile telephone numbers and subscriptions in the vendor portal
- Enter purchase requisitions in SAP
- Time registration of worked hours

Vereisten

Your background & Specific skills (skills and knowledge necessary to meet the objectives of the position):

- Fluency in written and spoken English and French is a must, other languages is an asset
- Good communication skills verbally and in writing
- Strong customer focus, sensitive for business interests
- Good interpersonal skills
- Teamplayer
- Self-motivated to learn and acquire new skills and knowledge
- Analytical and problem solving skills to enable effective identification and resolution of IT related issues
- Good technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure & Application Landscape
- Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
